Attractive adults are easier to inspire children's trust than others.
A recent study by Igor Baskandzhiev from Harvard University showed that a beautiful face deserves more children's trust than an unattractive one. Both boys and girls believe more in answers given by people with attractive faces.
“When studying the world, children rely on information provided by other people,” Igor said. “Previous research has shown that children are influenced by a variety of factors, such as whether adults were right in the past and whether they know them.”
The new study tried to find out whether a child would trust an attractive stranger more than an unattractive stranger.
The study was conducted on 32 children aged 4-5 years. Scientists showed children photos of 12 different women, whose attractiveness was assessed by a group of students.
The children were shown one picture of an attractive woman and one of an unattractive woman and asked them to say which of them knew the right answer. The researchers noticed that more children, especially girls, chose beautiful faces in this case.
But sex differences can be explained by boys not paying so much attention to faces, and girls have better face perception.
Scientists plan to find out whether children will continue to trust beautiful people more as they age, even if there is evidence that they are unreliable.
Female attractiveness
What makes a woman's face attractive? According to experts Dr. Kang Lee and Dr. Pam Pallett, there are several factors that determine how beautiful others think we are.
1. Symmetry
If the distance between the eyes and mouth is 36 percent of the total length of the face, and the distance from one corner of the eye to the other is 46 percent of the total face width, that face is considered ideal symmetrical and is perceived by us as attractive. However, don't be upset if your face doesn't meet the standard, as a simple haircut can change the parameters.
2. Averaging
Despite the fact that many people are now trying to stand out and be different from others, from a biological point of view this will not make us more attractive. Our brain creates an average image of all faces, and the more average a face looks, the more attractive it appears.

3. Attractive features
The size and shape of certain facial features, such as eyes and lips, also determine a woman's attractiveness. Thus, large eyes, which indicate high levels of estrogen and signal women's fertility, are considered more attractive. The same goes for full lips.
